Candle Care
Getting the best from your Ember and Eden luxury candle
First burn
The first burn of a candle is extremely important! Ensure you burn the candle for a minimum of 3 hours, making sure the wax has melted to the edge of the vessel to create a melt pool (burn memory for the wax). This is to make sure the candle does not tunnel.
Future burns
Make sure with each burn you allow the wax to melt and pool to the edge of the vessel. This creates an even melt pool which will create an even burn and a beautiful scent throw every time.
The wick
Always remember to trim your wick before every burn to around 5mm.
This prevents the flame from becoming too large, creating a ‘mushroom’ wick and creating soot.
Extinguishing your candle
By putting out your candle carefully, you’ll avoid a burnt, smoke-scented room that takes away from the mood you so carefully created by lighting your candle. Ideally use a candle snuffer or a wick dipper to extinguish your candle.
Reusing your jar
Wash out any remnants of wax with hot soapy water and reuse!

Candle Safety
-
Never leave a candle burning unattended.
-
Keep candles out of reach from children and pets.
-
Do not burn several candles close together as this might cause the flame to flare.
-
Avoid burning candles in draughts and keep away from materials that may catch fire – such as curtains.
-
Keep burning candles at least 10cm away from each other & allow enough room above a burning candle.
-
Always protect the surface where your candle is burning & never burn your candle all the way to the bottom.
-
Allow candle to cool before moving or touching.
